Luz Fernández del Rosal is responsible for the coordination of the international activities and partnerships at the German Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio, in short BDBOS. Prior to this position in the division of Public Safety Digital Radio Strategy, she contributed to the development of TETRA and 3GPP standards in BDBOS’ international standardisation team, which she joined in 2017.
With her expertise in driving the development of common global technology standards and solutions for mission critical environments, she is also vice-chair of the Critical Communications Broadband Group (CCBG) of the TCCA.
After graduating from the University of Seville as a telecommunication engineer in 2007, she worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications (Heinrich Hertz Institute) in the Photonic Networks and Systems department. There she contributed and managed research projects funded by the European Commission, as well as development projects commissioned by the industry with the focus on high-speed real-time signal processing for optical communication systems.
