International trade fair for Professional Mobile Radio and Control Centres – 22 to 24 November 2016 at Koelnmesse

    PMRExpo will take place for the sixteenth time from 22 to 24 November 2016 in Cologne. Well-known companies of the industry represent themselves and present their newest products and solutions to the interested trade visitors annually at the international trade fair for Professional Mobile Radio and Control Centres. These are primarily the public safety authorities (e.g. police, fire, rescue services and THW), but also representatives of public transport, the energy industry, energy suppliers, waste disposal providers, municipal enterprises and industry, logistics, specialist stores and municipalities.

    The fifteenth PMRExpo offered an exhibition space of 3.660m² with 168 exhibitors and approximately 3.470 attendees.

    The Stadt Köln is raising a cultural tax of 5% of the room rate, which has to be paid at the hotel. Business travelers who fill out and present the official forms and employer document at the hotel are exempted from payment.

    Travelling by car / parking

    The Cologne beltway (A1, A4 and A3 motorways) brings you directly to the exhibition grounds. Follow the green “Koelnmesse” signs. Depending on your navigation system, you can enter "Messeplatz 1", "Deutz-Mülheimer-Straße" or "Barmer Straße".

    There are about 14,500 parking spaces available all around the exhibition grounds. In the exhibition area, our modern traffic management system will guide you to the respective parking spaces.

    Please note that the Cologne city centre has been declared a low-emission zone on the 1st January 2008, meaning only vehicles of emission groups 2 to 4 with an according sticker may enter. However, the exhibition grounds are easily accessible without a sticker. Check out the map here.

    Travelling by plane

    Cologne Bonn Airport can be reached by plane from major European cities such as Berlin, Paris, Prague, London, Munich, Milan and Zurich.

    From the airport, the exhibition grounds can be reached quickly and directly by ICE high-speed trains. Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Brussels airports are also connected to the ICE network. In addition, you can use the S13 train. Travelling by taxi will take about 15 minutes. If you arrive at Düsseldorf airport, the taxi ride will take about 35 minutes.

    Travelling by bus and train

    Thanks to its central location, Cologne and Koelnmesse can be reached quickly by train. The ICE station Köln Messe/Deutz is located adjacent to the exhibition grounds.

    For further information and train schedules visit: www.bahn.de. Public transport will conveniently take you to the most important destinations, such as hotels and restaurants in town. For further information, please contact KVB (Cologne public transport providers) at www.kvb-koeln.de, and, if you are arriving from the surrounding region, Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (Rhein-Sieg transport association) at www.vrs-fahrplan.de.

    As organiser of the event, EW Medien und Kongresse offers you special train fares to PMRExpo in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn. When travelling to PMRExpo, you can use the cheaper Deutsche Bahn “Veranstaltungsticket” (event ticket). This offer can be booked via the hotline 0049 (0) 18 06-31 11 53 using the prompt EW Medien (calls made from a Deutsche Telekom AG landline are charged at 20ct/min. and the hotline is live Monday to Saturday from 7a.m. - 10p.m.).
